About Us
Mike Guasco has over 15 years of experience as a litigator and trial attorney. He is committed to zealously and aggressively defending your rights. Mike knows that losing a job is scary and causes substantial uncertainty. Similarly, litigation can be overwhelming and confusing. Mike will work with you and take the time necessary to fully explain everything, at every stage of the process.Prior to starting Guasco Employment Law, Mike worked at the largest labor and employment firm in the world. He represented employers of all sizes, from Fortune 500 companies to small, family-owned businesses, and everything in between. This experience gives him a unique insight into how businesses and their insurance companies think. He uses this experience to maximize your recovery.
Throughout his career, Mike has been called on to try cases for other attorneys. These calls often came less than a month before trial. He knows that the best way to get a successful resolution is for the other side to know you are ready, willing, and able to take the case to trial. Mike has litigated cases from pre-litigation negotiations all the way through trial, and even on appeal. He regularly represents clients in litigation and arbitration involving allegations of sexual harassment; discrimination based on gender, race, religion, gender identity/ expression, pregnancy, age, or disability; wrongful termination; and harassment. Mike authored the definitive practical guide on rights of transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming employees in California.
Mike is admitted in, and regularly practices in, all California state courts, all federal trial courts in California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
When he is not practicing law, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and three amazing children, rooting on Bay Area sports teams, trying new restaurants, and enjoying live music.
